There's something on at Black Ivory most nights of the week. Live piano every Wednesday, open mic the first Sunday of every month, live entertainment every subsequent Sunday afternoon at 3pm, and Jazz & Gin Night on the last Saturday of each month. On top of that: special performances, guest artists passing through, and the occasional evening that needs to be seen to be understood. Maria Nicol brings her acclaimed jazz trio to Black Ivory for one evening — a proper concert in a room small enough that you'll feel every note. Maria is recognised as one of the finest jazz pianists working in the UK today; this is a rare chance to hear her perform in an intimate setting rather than a concert hall.
We'll be serving Drunken Horse gin, wines by the glass and canapés throughout the evening. The room will be arranged to face the piano. Tables are limited — this one will sell out.

22 August 2026. The whole room open to wellness and health practitioners.
On 22 August, Black Ivory becomes a wellness fair for the day. Traders, coaches, therapists and practitioners are welcome to book a stall — this is a relaxed, curated event in an unusual venue. The kind of day where conversations actually go somewhere, in a room that encourages people to linger.
We're looking for practitioners working in health, nutrition, movement, mental wellbeing, beauty, complementary therapies — anything that fits the spirit of the day. Stall spaces are available at a flat fee. Numbers are limited by the size of the room.
